Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship

The Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences provides advanced training in the perioperative care of patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic, and major vascular surgery. The program is designed for anesthesiologists seeking expertise in cardiovascular physiology, advanced monitoring, critical care, and complex perioperative management.

Fellows gain hands-on experience in high-volume tertiary referral centers, participating in the anesthetic management of coronary artery bypass surgery, valve procedures, aortic surgery, and other complex cardiovascular interventions. Training also includes postoperative care of critically ill cardiac patients in specialized intensive care units.

The fellowship emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, patient safety, evidence-based practice, and academic development through case discussions, conferences, and research activities.
