Brief Biography: Dr. Dariush Abtahi is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and a faculty member at Imam Hossein Hospital, Tehran, Iran. With more than 25 years of experience in clinical anesthesiology, medical education, and research, he has made significant contributions to perioperative care and obstetric anesthesia. His clinical expertise includes obstetric anesthesia, airway management, perioperative pharmacology, and the management of perioperative bleeding. Dr. Abtahi is also an international collaborator in the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study and has co-authored scientific publications in high-impact journals, including The Lancet. Through his clinical, educational, and research activities, he is committed to advancing evidence-based anesthesiology practice, improving maternal outcomes, and enhancing patient safety across perioperative settings.
