Brief Biography: Dr. Malihe Abniki is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and a faculty member at Shohada-e-Tajrish Hospital. She completed her anesthesiology residency at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Medical Education. Dr. Abniki serves as Head of the Labor Analgesia Program at Shohada-e-Tajrish Hospital and plays an active role in undergraduate, postgraduate, and international medical education. Her clinical expertise includes obstetric anesthesia, labor analgesia, neurosurgical anesthesia, orthopedic and vascular anesthesia, airway management, pain medicine, and patient safety. In addition to her academic and clinical responsibilities, she is actively involved in faculty development and educational innovation, with a particular interest in improving anesthesia training and advancing evidence-based perioperative care.

Current Research Focus: Dr. Abniki’s current research focuses on safer anesthesia practices, perioperative monitoring, and pain management strategies. Her ongoing projects include investigating the effects of dexmedetomidine and ketamine during pediatric MRI sedation, evaluating cerebral oximetry for predicting neurological injury during surgery, and exploring the application of artificial intelligence to improve anesthetic safety and clinical decision-making.
