Brief Biography: Dr. Maryam Baniani is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and a fellowship-trained Cardiac Anesthesiologist at Imam Hossein A.S. Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, completed her residency in Anesthesiology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, and subsequently pursued fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology at the same institution. Her clinical and academic practice focuses on perioperative care for adult cardiac surgery, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and perioperative critical care. Dr. Baniani is actively involved in resident education, mentorship, and collaborative research within the Department of Anesthesiology. She also contributes to multidisciplinary research initiatives aimed at improving perioperative outcomes, patient safety, and evidence-based cardiovascular anesthesia practice.

She is also involved in translational research and educational initiatives integrating emerging technologies into cardiovascular anesthesia.
