Brief Biography: Dr. Maryam Hatam is an Assistant Professor of Critical Care Medicine at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. Her clinical practice focuses on pediatric cardiac intensive care, particularly the management of critically ill children undergoing congenital and acquired cardiac surgery. Her expertise includes mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and perioperative critical care. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Hatam is actively involved in medical education and the training of residents and fellows. Her academic interests focus on cardiac intensive care outcomes, postoperative complications, quality improvement initiatives, and the development of clinical registries. Through her clinical, educational, and research activities, she is committed to advancing evidence-based practice and improving outcomes for critically ill pediatric cardiac patients.
