Brief Biography: Dr. Mehran Kouchek is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences with more than three decades of experience in clinical practice, medical education, and research. Since beginning his career as an anesthesiologist in 1989, he has developed extensive expertise in critical care medicine, regional anesthesia, cardiac anesthesia, and chronic interventional pain management. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Kouchek has been actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows while contributing to research in anesthesiology and intensive care medicine. His professional interests focus on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based perioperative care, critical care management, and innovative pain treatment strategies.
