Brief Biography: Professor Shideh Dabir is a Professor of Anesthesiology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and a senior faculty member at Ayatollah Taleghani Hospital. With nearly three decades of experience in clinical anesthesiology, medical education, and research, she is internationally recognized for her expertise in thoracic anesthesia, lung transplantation, complex airway surgery, and regional anesthesia. Throughout her academic career, Professor Dabir has held several leadership positions, including Educational Deputy and currently Research Deputy of the Department of Anesthesiology. She has made substantial contributions to the development of thoracic and transplantation anesthesia in Iran and has participated in advanced international training programs in ECMO, lung transplantation, cardiothoracic anesthesia, and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. Her academic work combines clinical excellence, education, and research to advance perioperative care, patient safety, and innovative anesthetic techniques for high-risk surgical patients.

Her recent work includes clinical trials in ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, enhanced postoperative analgesia, liver transplantation anesthesia, obstetric analgesia, perioperative education, and innovative strategies to improve perioperative outcomes through evidence-based anesthetic practice. She also remains actively involved in educational research and the implementation of modern assessment methods in anesthesiology training.
