Brief Biography: Dr. Faramarz Mosaffa is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and a senior faculty member at Akhtar Medical, Educational, and Treatment Center. He serves as Director of the Regional Anesthesia Fellowship Program and Head of the Department of Anesthesiology at Akhtar Hospital, where he has played a central role in advancing fellowship education and modern regional anesthesia practice in Iran. In addition to leading the Regional Anesthesia Fellowship since 2020, he chairs the Operating Room Committee and actively contributes to clinical governance, patient safety, and operating room management. His academic and clinical work focuses on ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, acute pain management, orthopedic anesthesia, and perioperative education. Through his leadership in education, clinical innovation, and research, Dr. Mosaffa is committed to advancing evidence-based regional anesthesia and improving perioperative patient outcomes.

His recent studies investigate novel fascial plane blocks, adjuvants for local anesthetics, prevention of post-dural puncture headache, orthopedic anesthesia, and innovative educational strategies for anesthesiology residents, including competency-based assessment methods. He is also involved in research integrating artificial intelligence and ultrasound technologies to improve the precision and safety of regional anesthesia procedures.
