Brief Biography: Dr. Mahtab Poor zamany Nejat Kermany is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and the Educational Deputy of the Anesthesiology Department at Labbafinejad Medical Center. After obtaining her Medical Doctorate, she ranked first nationwide in the Anesthesiology and Critical Care Board Examination in 2003. In 2013, she completed a six-month observership at Washington University in St. Louis, USA, focusing on abdominal transplantation, neuro-anesthesia, and pain management, and she also holds a certification in transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). Her academic and administrative roles include memberships in the Medical School’s Educational Development Office (EDO) Committee, the EDO Evaluation Committee, and the Blood Transfusion Committee as the Senior Hemovigilance Physician. Dr. Poor zamany’s scientific contributions involve serving on the scientific and peer-review committees of various international conferences. Furthermore, she has contributed to the authorship and translation of academic medical textbooks, including *Anesthesia and Co-existing Diseases* and the *Handbook of the Massachusetts General Hospital Critical Care*, and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles with a primary focus on cognitive state evaluation, airway management, and pain control.
