Brief Biography: Dr. Maryam Vosoughian is Professor of Anesthesiology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and a senior faculty member of Ayatollah Taleghani Hospital. With more than 25 years of experience in clinical anesthesiology, medical education, and academic leadership, she has played a pioneering role in advancing anesthesiology practice and training in Iran. She established the university’s first liver transplantation anesthesia program and pioneered the implementation of painless labor services, developing clinical protocols and training multidisciplinary teams. Dr. Vosoughian has served in several major academic leadership positions, including Vice Chair for Education, Vice Chair for Research, Head of the Intensive Care Unit, and Vice Dean for Education. Her academic interests span liver transplantation anesthesia, regional anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, perioperative medicine, patient safety, and medical education. She is also actively involved in integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning into anesthesiology research and residency education.

She also leads clinical research in liver transplantation anesthesia, regional anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, perioperative pain management, and patient safety, with an emphasis on improving clinical outcomes through evidence-based and technology-driven approaches.
