Brief Biography: Dr. Marzie Shahrabi Farahani is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and subsequently completed her residency training in Anesthesiology and fellowship training in Intensive Care Medicine at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. In addition to her clinical practice, she is actively involved in medical education, teaching medical students as well as internal medicine and anesthesiology residents, with a particular focus on Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), mechanical ventilation, and hemodynamic monitoring. Her academic interests center on critical care medicine, sepsis, cardiac intensive care, and translational research. Through her clinical, educational, and research activities, she is dedicated to advancing evidence-based critical care and improving patient outcomes.

Current Research Focus: Dr. Shahrabi’s current research focuses on the role of microRNAs in postoperative complications and the pathophysiology of sepsis. She is also involved in developing machine learning models to predict extubation outcomes and sepsis in patients undergoing cardiac surgery, with the goal of improving risk stratification and clinical decision-making in critical care settings.
