Brief Biography: Dr. Seyedeh Narjes Ahmadizadeh is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Pediatric Critical Care at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and a faculty member of Mofid Children’s Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, completed her residency training in Anesthesiology, and subsequently pursued fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. Since 2019, she has served as Head of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), where she leads the clinical management of critically ill children and contributes to the advancement of pediatric critical care services. Dr. Ahmadizadeh’s academic and clinical interests focus on pediatric intensive care, emergency care for children, pain management in critically ill pediatric patients, and innovations aimed at improving safety, monitoring, and outcomes in the PICU.

Current Research Focus: Dr. Ahmadizadeh’s current research focuses on extubation failure in critically ill children, with particular attention to diaphragm function and ventilator weaning. She is also investigating the role of artificial intelligence and advanced monitoring technologies in pediatric critical care, alongside family-centered approaches to improve care quality and outcomes for children admitted to the PICU.
