Brief Biography: Dr. Shayan Kamalfar is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and a specialist in anesthesiology and critical care medicine. His clinical expertise includes regional anesthesia, trauma anesthesia, orthopedic anesthesia, and perioperative pain management. Dr. Kamalfar has extensive experience in neuraxial and regional anesthesia techniques across adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations. He was ranked among the top 5% of candidates in the National Board of Anesthesiology Examination. In addition to his clinical and educational activities, he is actively involved in research focused on pain management, regional anesthesia, and perioperative outcomes. He also has a growing interest in the application of artificial intelligence in anesthesiology research and clinical practice, aiming to improve decision-making and patient care.

He is also involved in projects examining sedation protocols during regional anesthesia and the safe use of local anesthetics in patients with complex comorbidities to improve perioperative outcomes and patient safety.
